I was born and raised in Western Montana, the sixth of eleven children. I learned to work hard on our family farm. I enjoyed riding horses after school. After high school I moved to New Jersey where I enjoyed being a nanny for a year. Then I moved to Idaho where I attended cosmetology school. While there, I met my husband, Stuart. We were married in January 1997 and moved to Utah where he continued his education at BYU.

We had our first two boys in Utah. After Stuart graduated he became an officer in the Air Force. We moved to Florida and then to Texas for his pilot training. Our first duty station after his training was at Little Rock Air Force Base. We had our third child, a daughter, while we were there. We were also licensed foster parents in each state we lived in. While in Arkansas we had two boys that we fostered for a couple years and then later adopted. We moved to Colorado Springs in 2006 and lived there for five years. While there we had two more daughters and adopted another son.

Then we moved back to Arkansas in 2011. We enjoyed our country home there for nine years. I enjoyed teaching swimming lessons in our pool for five years. We adopted three more kiddos (two girls and a boy) during our time there, for a total of 11 kids. I received my associate degree in Health Sciences from Arkansas State University-Beebe in 2020. After my husband retired from the Air Force we returned to Utah to be near family. We have lived in Utah since December 2020. I have served as a doula to family and friends since 2010.

My passion for childbirth began as a child, but was ignited during my first pregnancy in 1998. Since then I have studied and learned about many aspects of labor and delivery. I love to empower women to have the birth their heart desires. I am DONA trained.
